# Meeting minutes

> A concise record of a meeting’s decisions, actions and essential context rather than a word-for-word transcript.

## What it means

Minutes are the record of decisions and actions, not a transcript: minutes vs notes vs transcript, what to include, who takes and approves them . A simple structure people can copy.

## A practical example

The record captures the decision, two actions, owners and dates without reproducing every comment made in the room.

## Put it into practice

- Name the concrete situation before applying the label. Meeting minutes is useful only when it changes a choice, boundary or next action.
- Make the state visible: write the owner, time, source or stopping condition down instead of relying on memory.
- Review what happened. Keep the part that reduced ambiguity and change the part that added ceremony without helping the work.

## How it relates to Plexii

record and transcribe from Home with the Transcribe widget (/help/home-widget-transcribe); a Voice note on a desk transcribes on your computer with Local and offers a summary and suggested next steps with your own Anthropic key (/help/widget-voice-note); actions become tasks with owners and due dates (/help/widget-tasks-planning).
