The Today's agenda widget shows the shape of your day in one list: the meetings and focus time on your calendar today, together with the work that is due. On the dashboard its title is **Today**, with the number of entries beside it. Keep it on Home to see what is next at a glance, and to join a meeting or start a block of focus time without opening the Calendar.

## Where you find it

- **Home** and **People Home** include it, at its Small size, when you start out. See [The Home dashboard](https://plexiidesk.com/help/home-dashboard).
- It comes in three sizes: **Small** (where it starts), **Medium**, a wider tile, and **Stack**, a tall tile.
- At every size it lists up to four entries. When there are more, the last line says how many, for example **+3 more today**.

## Before you start

- The widget is on every plan.
- Calendar entries come from your PlexiDesk calendar. See [Calendar in Plexii](https://plexiidesk.com/help).
- Work entries come from the items Attention keeps track of: the tasks on your desks, such as those in a [Tasks widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/widget-tasks), and anything captured into Attention. To capture items into Attention, turn the Attention layer on first. See [Turn Attention on or off](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

## What it lists

Entries are in time order:

- **Calendar blocks that start today.** A meeting shows a camera icon and focus time shows a clock, each with its start time. A pulsing dot means it is happening now. A tick means you marked it done, a red dot means it was missed, and a skip icon means you skipped it.
- **Work that is due today or tomorrow**, at its due time. The due date shows on the right of the row, in red once it is overdue.
- **Meeting items from Attention.** Items in your Attention **Meet** queue appear too: in time order when they have a time, otherwise at the end.
- **Work that is already overdue** comes after the timed entries.

When there is nothing, the widget says **Nothing scheduled or due today.**

## Open an entry in place

Clicking an entry opens its details right there in the widget, so you never lose your place on Home. Click it again to close the details. Rest the pointer on any small button to see its name.

### Meetings and focus time

1. Click the title of the block. The details show when it runs, the meeting's agenda if it has one, and labels for its status (**Planned**, **Done**, **Missed** or **Skipped**), where it happens (the video service or a **Plexii room**), the location, how many people are invited, the desk, room or item it is booked for, and whether it **Repeats** or is **Pinned**. When a meeting has a record, **Record** opens it, and in a repeating series **Last time** opens the record of the previous meeting.
2. Use the buttons under the details:
   - **Join** opens a meeting that has not ended: its video link if it has one, otherwise its Plexii room.
   - The record button (**Record this external meeting**) appears on meetings with a pasted video link. It records the call on this computer, your microphone and the computer's sound, and transcribes it on this computer. See [Record notes or a meeting held elsewhere](https://plexiidesk.com/help).
   - **Start it now** (the play button) appears on focus time. It starts a focus session for the length of the block and, when the block is booked for a desk, opens that desk. See [Start a focus session](https://plexiidesk.com/help).
   - **Mark it done**, **Skip it** and **Back to planned** change the block's status.
   - **Open the block** shows every field of the block so you can change it.
   - **Delete this block** removes it from your calendar.
   - **Open the calendar** takes you to the Calendar page.
3. To edit a block straight away, double-click the row. The block opens with all its fields, the same form you use to book time. See [Book time and meetings on the calendar](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

> **Tip:**
> Tell the people on a call before you record it.

### Work that is due

1. To close an item, click the circle at the start of its row. Rest the pointer on the circle to see the word it uses, such as **Done**.
2. Click the title to see the item's notes and labels, such as its desk, plan, tags, priority and subtasks, then use the buttons:
   - Open the source it came from, such as a web page, a message or a moment in a meeting.
   - **Open the whole desk it came from.**
   - **Start it with Plexii** opens the Plexii panel with a message about the item already written in the box, ready for you to send or change. If the item belongs to a desk, that desk opens first so Plexii can see it.
   - **Snooze until tomorrow morning** snoozes it until 9:00 the next day.
   - **Archive** keeps it but moves it out of the way.
   - **Open the item** shows the full item right there.
   - **Open the Attention page.**
3. Double-click the row to open the full item and edit it. See [Close, snooze, archive and edit an item](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

## Book time and plan your day

Today's agenda shows your day. To add to it, use the Calendar:

1. Click any calendar entry, then click **Open the calendar**. When today has no calendar entries, open Calendar from the menu instead.
2. Drag across a time on the calendar to book focus time or a meeting. See [Book time and meetings on the calendar](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

Calendar has its own place in the Office menu, under **Communicate**, beside Mail and Inbox.

On the Attention page, the **Today** panel shows the same day as a time grid that you can drag work onto. See [Book time for an item from Attention](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

## Add it to a dashboard

1. Open the dashboard you want: **Home** in the side menu, or **People Home**, **Office Home** or **Brain Home** in those areas' menus. See [Desk, Office, People and Brain: the four areas](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-areas).
2. Click **Customize** at the top right of the dashboard.
3. Click **Add widget**.
4. Click **Live**, or type "agenda" in **Search widgets**.
5. Click **Today's agenda**. A live preview shows your own day.
6. Use the arrows beside the preview, or the dots under it, to choose **Small**, **Medium** or **Stack**.
7. Click **Add widget**. The widget appears at the end of the board, briefly highlighted.
8. Drag it to where you want it, then click **Done**.

If the card shows a tick and **Already on your home**, it is already on this dashboard. Each dashboard can have one Today's agenda widget.

### Resize, move or remove it

1. Click **Customize**.
2. To change the size, click the size button at the widget's top right corner. It shows the current size (**SM**, **MD** or **STACK**), and each click moves to the next one.
3. To move the widget, press and drag it to a new spot.
4. To remove it, click the **×** at its top right corner (**Remove Today's agenda**).
5. Click **Done**, or press `Esc`.

Your arrangement is saved on this computer, separately for each dashboard. See [Customize your Home dashboard](https://plexiidesk.com/help/home-customize).

## Good ways to use it

- **Join from Home.** When a meeting is about to start, click it and choose **Join**.
- **Start focus time on time.** Click a focus block and press the play button to start a focus session on its desk.
- **Pair it with the standup.** The [Standup widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/home-widget-standup) tells you what to pick up, and Today's agenda shows when you have time for it.
- **Use Stack for a tall, narrow tile** that fits beside wider widgets.

## Common questions

**Why do I see work that is due tomorrow?** The list includes work due by the end of tomorrow, after today's entries, so you can see what is coming before it is due.

**Why does it only show four entries?** The widget keeps to four so it stays easy to scan. The last line says how many more there are. Open the Calendar or the Attention page to see everything.

**Where is the Calendar button?** Click any calendar entry. **Open the calendar** is the last button in its details.

**Clicking an entry did not open the Calendar.** That is on purpose: a click opens the entry's details in the widget. Double-click to open the full block or item.

**My overdue work is at the bottom.** Overdue work follows the day's timed entries so it does not push today's meetings out of view. To see only what is overdue, add the [Overdue radar widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/home-widget-overdue-radar).
