# Everything Plexii can create or change

> Every kind of card Plexii can propose, from adding widgets and tables to drafting email and scheduling time, and what happens when you apply each one.

Plexii makes changes through cards. Each card starts with a verb, such as **Add table** or **Draft email**, so you can tell at a glance what applying it will do. This page lists every kind of card, grouped by what it works on, and what happens when you apply it.

## Before you start

- **Every plan** includes cards. A few depend on a feature that needs a particular plan or setting, noted below.
- **Many cards need a desk.** A card that adds something to a desk goes on the desk you are on. If you are not on one, Plexii asks where it should go. See [Choose where a change goes](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-proposals#choose-where-a-change-goes).
- **Some cards always wait for you,** even when your autonomy setting lets low-risk cards apply by themselves: **Remove**, **Schedule**, **Draft email**, **Draft message**, the mail cards and starting a focus session. ## Widgets on a desk

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Add** | Adds a widget, such as a sticky note, a chart or a calendar, with the title shown. |
| **Add page** | Adds a Page widget with the text Plexii wrote. |
| **Add todo list** | Adds a list with the items shown. The card says how many items it has. |
| **Add table** | Adds a Table widget with the columns shown, such as text, number, checkbox, date or a list of options. |
| **Add row** | Adds a row to a table, with the values shown. |
| **Set cells** | Changes values in an existing row of a table. |
| **Add field** | Adds a Field widget, a single labelled value. |
| **Update** | Changes a widget's content, or moves or resizes it. Text can be replaced or added to the start or end. |
| **Check off** / **Re-open** | Ticks or unticks an item in a checklist on a Page or Markdown widget. |
| **Remove** | Deletes a widget from the desk. Always waits for you, and **Apply all** asks you to confirm first. |
| **Link** | Draws a wire between two widgets, for example to feed a table into an agent. See [Link widgets and set up wires](https://plexiidesk.com/help/canvas-link-widgets). |
| **Arrange** | Tidies widgets into a neat grid: the ones named, or everything on the desk. |
| **Create section** | Groups the widgets named into a new labelled Section. |
| **Focus** | Brings a widget to the front, selects it and moves the view to it. |
| **Open in focus mode** | Opens a widget full screen in focus mode. See [Open widgets full screen and side by side](https://plexiidesk.com/help/canvas-focus-mode). |
| **Ask** | Hands the job to the widget's own AI. The widget's **Set up with AI** panel opens with the request, and you approve what it proposes there. Plexii uses this when a widget knows best how to change itself, such as a chart. See [Use a widget's AI button](https://plexiidesk.com/help/widget-ai). |
| **Set up agent** | Adds a Desk agent with the instruction shown. It starts with **Active** unticked, so it does nothing until you turn it on or click **Run**. See [Desk agent widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/widget-desk-agent). |

## Desks and tasks

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **New desk** | Creates a desk with the name shown. |
| **New task** | Adds a task to the desk you are on. You need a desk open. |
| **Update task** | Changes an existing task: its status, its name or its due date. The card lists what changes, such as "rename to" or "set due date". |
| **To Attention** | Adds an item to Attention, with Plexii's reason kept in the item so you know later why it is there. Needs Attention switched on. See [Attention: everything that needs you](https://plexiidesk.com/help/attention-overview). |

## Documents and files

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **New document**, **New spreadsheet**, **New deck**, **New diagram**, **New design** | Creates a new, empty file of that kind, with the title shown. |
| **Generate document**, **Generate spreadsheet**, **Generate deck**, **Generate diagram** | Writes a complete file with AI and places it on the desk. Use **Choose where to add this** and **Add to Files** to save it to your files instead. |
| **Fill** … | Regenerates the content of a document widget already on your desk. The earlier version is kept in the document's version history. |
| **Update** / **Rewrite** | Changes an existing document: **Update** adds to it, **Rewrite** replaces its content. The earlier version stays in version history. |

Creating a file of a kind your plan or organisation does not include shows a message instead, such as that the editor is not available on your plan.

## Knowledge

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Add to PlexiBrain** | Saves a fact, decision or process from the conversation as an entry in Ask Brain. See [Build your knowledge base in Ask Brain](https://plexiidesk.com/help/brain-knowledge). |

## Calendar and focus

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Schedule** | Books a block of time in your calendar. The card shows the title, day and time, length, and how often it repeats if it does. Always waits for you. See [Book time and meetings on the calendar](https://plexiidesk.com/help/calendar-book-time). |
| **Start** … **focus session** | Starts a focus timer for the number of minutes shown, on the desk you are on. Always waits for you. See [Start a focus session](https://plexiidesk.com/help/focus-session). |

## Mail and chat

Plexii never sends anything for you. These cards always wait for you.

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Draft email** | Opens the mail composer with the recipients, subject and text filled in. You review it and press send yourself. |
| **Draft message** | Opens the chat conversation shown with the message typed in. You press send yourself. |
| **Mark read** | Marks an email as read. |
| **Archive** | Moves an email to your archive. |
| **Move to** … | Moves an email to the mailbox named on the card. |
| **Move to Trash** | Moves an email to Trash. |
| **Mark as spam** | Moves an email to your spam folder. |

## Going places and the web

| Card | What applying it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Open** (a place) | Takes you to a part of PlexiDesk, such as your calendar, Files, Mail, a desk, a document or Flows. |
| **Open** (a web page) | On a desk, adds a Browser widget showing the page. Anywhere else, opens the page in Plexii's browser panel. |
| **Let Plexii browse** | Opens the browser panel and starts Plexii working through the task on the web, step by step, while you watch. Pro and Team plans. See [Let Plexii work on a web page](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-browse). |

## What you will see after applying

Each applied card turns green and says what happened, for example **Created desk "Q3 launch"** or **Opened a pre-filled draft — review and send it yourself**. Click **Go to** on it to open what it created.

## Tips

- **Ask in plain words.** You do not need the card names. "Track my job applications" may come back as **Add table** with the right columns, plus a few **Add row** cards.
- **Combine cards.** One answer can create a table, wire it into a new agent and add the first rows. **Apply all** runs them in the right order.
- **Let the widget's own AI do detailed work.** When an **Ask** card appears, the widget's AI shows you exactly what will change before anything does.

## Common questions

**Can Plexii delete my work?** Only with a **Remove** card, which always waits for you and can be undone. Mail cards move messages rather than deleting them.

**A card says to open a desk first.** That kind of change belongs on a desk, such as a new task, a focus session or a generated document. Open the desk you want, then apply the card again.

**Can Plexii send an email or post a message?** No. It drafts; you send.
