The Plexii hub is Plexii as a page of its own. It fills the main part of the window, keeps all your conversations down the left, and, on a new conversation, offers one-click starters for the things Plexii can do. It is the same Plexii, with the same conversations, as the panel you open from the Plexii button.

Use the hub when you want room for a long conversation, when you are starting something new and want a nudge, or when you want to move between several conversations.

## Before you start

- **Every plan** includes the Plexii hub.
- **Plexii needs AI to run.** When you are signed in it runs on PlexiDesk credits, or you can use your own Anthropic key. See [AI credits and where your AI runs](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

## Open the hub

Press `⌘` `⇧` `K` on a Mac or `Ctrl` `Shift` `K` on Windows, from anywhere in PlexiDesk. The hub opens in the main part of the window.

You can also open the hub from the assistant itself:

1. Click the round Plexii button at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Click the Plexii wordmark at the top left of the panel. Its tooltip reads **Open the Plexii hub**.

The side menu has no Plexii row; open the hub from the assistant or with the shortcut.

Two things on your Home dashboard also open the hub on a new conversation:

- **Asking from the bar at the top of Home.** Plexii answers on the hub. See [The Home bar: ask, search and jump](https://plexiidesk.com/help/home-bar).
- **The Discover widget.** It starts a conversation in Discovery mode. See [Discover widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/home-widget-discover).

While the hub is showing, the Plexii button and panel step aside, because the hub is the assistant.

## Leave the hub

- Press `⌘` `⇧` `K` (`Ctrl` `Shift` `K` on Windows) again to go back to where you were.
- Or go anywhere else, from the side menu or the header.

When you leave, the Plexii button and panel come back exactly as you left them.

## What you see

- **The header** at the top holds the Plexii wordmark, **New chat** (the plus sign) and **What was I doing?**.
- **Your conversations**, down the left: **New chat** at the top, a **Search chats** box, then your earlier conversations grouped by when you last used them. See [Find, reopen and manage conversations](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-conversations).
- **The conversation**, in the middle. On a new conversation it greets you with **How can I help you today?** and the line **Ask anything. I can research, plan, draft, and act across your workspace.** The box underneath reads **Ask Plexii anything…**.
- **Starters and suggestions**, under the box on a new conversation.

The hub has no tabs. To see your Attention items, calendar, messages or agents, open the Plexii panel from any other screen. See [Open, move and resize the Plexii panel](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-panel).

## Start with a one-click starter

On a new conversation, a row of starters sits under the box. Each one names something Plexii can do for you. Clicking a starter sends a request straight away; Plexii then asks for the details it needs, and proposes the result as cards you approve.

| Starter | What it sends |
| --- | --- |
| **Draft an email** | Draft an email for me |
| **Schedule an event** | Schedule something on my calendar |
| **Post to a chat** | Post an update to one of my chats |
| **Write a document** | Write a document for me |
| **Build a table** | Set up a table to track something for me |
| **Arrange this desk** | Tidy up and arrange this desk |
| **Plan my desks** | Help me plan and organise my desks |
| **Set up a desk agent** | Set up a desk agent for me |

To use one:

1. Click the starter, for example **Draft an email**.
2. Answer Plexii's questions. When it offers choices, pick one and click **Send**, or type your own answer in the box instead.
3. Review the cards Plexii proposes and apply the ones you want. See [Review and apply Plexii's changes](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

The same starters appear on a new conversation when the Plexii panel is in **Full screen**.

## Use a suggestion

Under the starters are suggestion cards: **What should I work on next?**, **Plan out…** and **Find…**. Unlike a starter, a suggestion does not send anything. It puts the words in the box so you can finish the sentence, then press `Enter`.

## Discovery mode on the hub

If the conversation is in Discovery mode, the hub greets you with **What are we building?** instead, and the starters and suggestion cards are not shown. In Discovery mode Plexii leads with questions to grow an idea into a desk. See [Explore an idea with Discovery mode](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

## The hub and your desks

On the hub you are not on any desk, so Plexii works across your whole workspace.

A conversation that is linked to a desk, for example one you turned into a desk, keeps working with that desk on the hub: Plexii can see what is on it, and **Push to desk** proposes what is new from the conversation for that desk. See [Turn a conversation into a desk](https://plexiidesk.com/help).

## Tips

- **Keep long work on the hub.** There is room for long answers, tables and cards, and every conversation is a click away on the left.
- **Use a starter when you are not sure how to ask.** Plexii asks the questions, so you only need to answer them.
- **Leave quickly with the same keys.** `⌘` `⇧` `K` (`Ctrl` `Shift` `K`) takes you back to where you were.

## Common questions

**Is the hub different from Full screen?** They share the same conversations. **Full screen** is a display mode of the Plexii panel and keeps the panel's tabs. The hub is a page of its own, with no tabs.

**Where are the Attention, Calendar, Message and Agents tabs?** They are in the Plexii panel, not on the hub. Leave the hub and click the Plexii button.

**Why did the Plexii button disappear?** The hub is the assistant, so the button steps aside while it is showing. It comes back when you leave the hub.

**What was I doing? asks for a key.** **What was I doing?** uses your own Anthropic key, even when you are signed in. See [Add your own API keys](https://plexiidesk.com/help/api-keys).
