# See and manage all your agents

> See every desk agent in your workspace in one list, in Brain's Agents page or the Plexii panel's Agents tab, with its desk, status and last run.

Desk agents live on individual desks, so once you have a few they are easy to lose track of. Two lists show every desk agent in your workspace in one place: the **Agents** page in the Brain area, and the **Desk agents** view in the Plexii panel's **Agents** tab. Each row tells you which desk the agent is on, whether it is running, and when it last ran. Click a row to go to its desk.

## Before you start

- **Every plan** includes the agent lists.
- **The lists show desk agents.** These are the Desk agent widgets on your desks. See [Desk agent widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/widget-desk-agent).

## Open the list

Either:

- **In Brain:** open the **Brain** area and choose **Agents**. The page is headed **Agents**, with the line **Every desk agent across your workspace, and the desk each one runs on**.
- **In the Plexii panel:** click the Plexii button at the bottom right of the screen, click the **Agents** tab, then click **Desk agents** at the top of the tab.

Both show the same agents. The Brain page has more room; the panel is quicker when you are in the middle of something.

## What each row shows

| Part | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **Name** | The agent's title on its desk, or **Untitled agent** if it has none. |
| **Role and desk** | The agent's role and the desk it is on, for example **Research Analyst on Q3 launch**. |
| **Status** | **Active** and how it runs, such as **Active, interval**, or **Paused** when its **Active** box is unticked. |
| **Last run** | How long ago it last ran, such as **5m ago**, or that it has never run. |

Rest the pointer on a row to read the agent's instruction.

## Go to an agent

Click its row. Its desk opens, so you can run it, change its instruction or role, or see its latest result.

## Pause, change or remove an agent

The lists are for finding agents. To change one, go to its desk:

- **Pause it:** untick **Active** in the agent. An agent on **On change** or **Interval** stops running on its own. **Run** still works when you click it.
- **Change when it runs:** choose **Manual**, **On change** or **Interval** in the agent.
- **Change its role:** click the role at the top of the agent. See [Choose or create an agent role](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-agent-roles).
- **Remove it:** delete the widget from the desk, as you would any widget.

On a desk, the **Automations** panel also lists that desk's agents with a switch to turn each one off. See [See what runs on its own on a desk](https://plexiidesk.com/help/canvas-automations).

## If you have no agents yet

The Brain page says **You have not placed any agents yet** and offers **Open my desk**, which takes you to your Home dashboard. The panel says **No desk agents yet.** Add a Desk agent to any desk and it appears in both lists. See [Desk agent widget](https://plexiidesk.com/help/widget-desk-agent).

## Tips

- **Name your agents.** A title such as "Meeting notes summary" is much easier to spot in the list than **Untitled agent**.
- **Check Last run after setting up an interval.** If an **Interval** agent shows it has not run for a long time, open its desk: interval agents run while their desk is open.
- **Ask Plexii to set one up.** Plexii can propose a desk agent as a card. See [Everything Plexii can create or change](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-actions-reference).

## Common questions

**Is the Autonomous agent in this list?** No. The list shows the agents that live on desks. The Autonomous agent works on one goal at a time in the **Autonomous agent** view of the same tab. See [Give Plexii a goal with the Autonomous agent](https://plexiidesk.com/help/plexii-autonomous-agent).

**I just added an agent and it isn't listed.** The list is read when you open it. Open the page or the view again.

**The role in the list doesn't match the agent.** The list names the built-in roles. An agent with a role you created, or one of the further specialist roles, is listed as **Generalist**. Open the agent to see its actual role.

**Can I run an agent from the list?** No. Click the row to go to its desk, then click **Run** in the agent.
