Investor update desk: one table behind every number you send

the metrics Table is the only place a number is typed — the Stat card, the Chart and the figure you quote in the update all read from it — so the update, the deck and the model stop disagreeing. Distinct from investor update (what to write) and /startup-founders (the campaign page): this is the desk that keeps the figures straight.

Suggested widgets: table · stat card · chart · slides · doc · contacts · task list

What goes on the desk

Set it up

build the dashboard from the table (widgets dashboard); keep the update’s structure as your own template (desk templates).

  1. Create a desk named for the real outcome, client or deadline.
  2. Add the suggested widgets and rename each one for the job it performs.
  3. Bring in the existing files or tables before inventing another copy of the information.
  4. Set a due date, add the first visible next action, then save the arrangement as a template if you will repeat it.

Use it day to day

at month end add one row and the stat card and chart update; check the deck’s figures against the table before investor meetings.

A useful desk should reduce copying. Keep each changing fact in one widget, and let charts, summaries or views read from that source.

A worked starting point

Fictional example. Create the desk, add three real items that are already in motion, then use one full work cycle before changing the layout. At the end, remove anything you did not consult and add only the object that would have prevented a real interruption.

Where Plexii helps

Plexii answers questions such as what MRR was in August from the table, with its source (ai assistant); a Desk agent can keep a running draft of the update from widgets wired into it, with results arriving as cards you apply (widget desk agent).

Keep in mind. no investment advice; example figures fictional.
