Desk template · Anyone who ends the week unsure what they have promised and what comes next, including people looking for an ADHD-friendly planner or a weekly brain dump routine.

Weekly reset desk: brain dump, review and plan your week

a 30-minute weekly ritual laid out as one desk — dump every open loop onto a sticky, sort each into this week, later or drop, pick three for a card, then book the blocks. The desk is the routine, not a planner page. Distinct from track commitments (capture habits) and from multi-project-dashboard (portfolio view): this is a personal, single-desk weekly reset.

Suggested widgets: sticky · task list · attention · calendar · card · timer · page

What goes on the desk

  • Sticky ‘Brain dump’ (one loop per line)
  • Tasks widget switched to Everywhere and grouped by when
  • Attention widget (what you owe
  • needs the Attention layer on in Settings > AI)
  • Calendar widget for the week’s due dates and booked time (in beta)
  • Card ‘This week’s three’
  • Timer at 25:00 for the review itself
  • Page ‘Wins and what I learned’.

Set it up

start from the Weekly Plan starter, which already has a priorities sticky, a Mon–Fri plan note, a 25-minute timer and a wins sticky (desk templates); add Tasks (widget tasks), Attention (widget attention), Calendar (widget calendar) and Card (widget card); then Save as template so every week starts the same (desk templates).

  1. Create a desk named for the real outcome, client or deadline.
  2. Add the suggested widgets and rename each one for the job it performs.
  3. Bring in the existing files or tables before inventing another copy of the information.
  4. Set a due date, add the first visible next action, then save the arrangement as a template if you will repeat it.

Use it day to day

Monday, pick the three; Friday, tick, carry over and dump again; put One thing now and Stalled desk on Home (home widget one thing now, home widget stalled desk).

A useful desk should reduce copying. Keep each changing fact in one widget, and let charts, summaries or views read from that source.

A worked starting point

Fictional example. Create the desk, add three real items that are already in motion, then use one full work cycle before changing the layout. At the end, remove anything you did not consult and add only the object that would have prevented a real interruption.

Where Plexii helps

a Sticky’s AI drafts to-dos for the desk (widget sticky, widget ai); Resume writes where things stand and the next three actions (desk resume); the Standup widget catches you up on what you finished and what is next (home widget standup).
