Brand kit, Brandify and your logo

Save your logo, brand colours and fonts once in the brand kit, then place your logo and turn any design on-brand in one click with Brandify.

All plansUpdated

The brand kit holds your logo, your brand colours and your fonts. Set it once and PlexiiDesign uses it everywhere: new shapes come in your brand colour, templates and AI designs are drawn in your colours and fonts, Logo places your logo, and Brandify brings an off-brand page back into line in one click.

Before you start

  • The brand kit is on every plan.
  • Open a design in PlexiiDesign, or click inside a Design widget on a desk. See PlexiiDesign overview.
  • Have your logo as a picture file: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .webp or .svg. A logo with a transparent background sits best on coloured pages.

Until you save a brand kit, PlexiiDesign uses a plain starting brand: a blue main colour and the Inter typeface.

Set up the brand kit

  1. Click Brand kit in the toolbar. The Brand kit window opens.
  2. Under Logo, click Upload and choose your logo file. A preview shows it.
  3. Set Primary color, your main brand colour, and Secondary color, an accent. Click the colour box to pick one, or type a colour code such as #1d4ed8 in the box beside it.
  4. Choose a Heading font and a Body font from the lists.
  5. Click Save brand.

To change the logo later, click Replace. Remove takes it out of the kit.

Contrast warnings

As you choose colours, the window warns you when a combination may be hard to read, such as The brand color may be hard to read as a heading on a white page. You can still save, but a darker or stronger colour reads better for most people.

Where your brand is used

In PlexiiDesign:

Elsewhere: once you have saved a brand kit, a new PlexiiDocs document starts with its main headings in your brand colours. Documents you already have do not change.

Click Logo in the toolbar. Your logo goes in the top left corner of the page, sized to about a fifth of the page's width, ready to move and resize.

If the brand kit has no logo yet, Logo opens the Brand kit window so you can add one.

Brandify a design

Click Brandify in the toolbar. On the page you are on:

  • Every shape is filled with your primary colour.
  • All text is set in your heading font and coloured in your primary colour. White text stays white, so text on a dark panel stays readable.

Pictures and the page background are not changed.

Brandify works on one page at a time. For a design with several pages, go to each page and click Brandify again.

Common questions

I changed the brand kit but my design did not change. The brand kit is used when you add things. To bring an existing page in line, click Brandify.

Do I have to set up the brand kit? No. Everything works with the starting brand. Setting it up saves you choosing colours and fonts by hand each time.

Can I have more than one brand? The brand kit holds one brand at a time. For a design in another brand, set colours and fonts on its elements in the inspector.

The Logo button opens the brand kit instead of placing a logo. No logo has been saved yet. Upload one and click Save brand, then click Logo again.
