Settings overview
Open Settings from the gear in the header and find your way around its seven tabs: Appearance, Account, Organisation, AI, Templates, Data and Advanced.
Settings is where you change how PlexiDesk looks, sounds and behaves, manage your account and AI, and reach your Vault, backups and connected apps. It opens as a panel from the header, with seven tabs along the top. This page shows where everything is and links to the guide for each part.
Before you start
- Settings is on every plan. A few parts show only when they apply to you, such as the organisation controls for admins.
- Most settings are kept on this computer, and the panel says so at the bottom: Preferences saved locally. If you use PlexiDesk on more than one computer, set your look, sounds and keys on each one. Your account details, and the few settings that belong to your account, follow you when you sign in.
- Changes take effect straight away. There is no Save button.
Open Settings
- Click the gear at the right-hand end of the header. Its tooltip says Appearance settings — theme, accent colour and font.
- Settings opens on the Appearance tab.
- Click another tab to see its settings.
To close Settings, press Esc, click the × at the top right of the panel, or click anywhere outside it.

Common questions
My settings are different on my other computer. Most settings are kept on each computer separately, as the panel's Preferences saved locally. says. Set them again on the other one.
I cannot find a setting that used to be on a different tab. Use the table above. Connected apps and browser extensions are on Advanced, and the Vault is on Data.
Settings closed while I was choosing a colour. Clicking outside the panel closes it. Theme studio opens over Settings, and clicks inside it are safe.
