Get help and support
Find the guides, replay the tours, see what is new, and contact us, with what to include so we can help quickly.
Help is never far away in PlexiDesk. The guides on our website cover every feature, the tours show you round the app, and you can email us whenever you need a person.
Before you start
- Plan. Help and support are there on every plan.
- The guides open in your web browser. You need an internet connection to read them.
Open the help centre
Use any of these:
- The footer. Click Help & support at the bottom of the window.
- Settings. Click the gear at the right-hand end of the header, click the Data tab, and under Help & support click Help & guides.
- The menu bar on a Mac. Choose Help > Help & Support.
The help centre opens at plexiidesk.com/help. Search it, browse by category, or start with Get started with PlexiDesk.
Replay the tours
The tours walk you through the main parts of PlexiDesk, a step at a time.
- Open Settings and click the Data tab.
- Under Help & support, click Take a tour / replay onboarding.
- In Tours & onboarding, choose a tour.
You can also press ⌘ K on a Mac (Ctrl K on Windows) and choose Take a tour. See Tours and the first-run welcome.

Contact us
Email us at [email protected].
To help us help you quickly, include:
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
- The exact words of any message PlexiDesk showed. A screenshot helps.
- Your PlexiDesk version. It is at the left of the footer, for example v4.3.26.
- Your computer: Mac or Windows.
- The email address on your PlexiDesk account, if it is not the one you are writing from.
Never send us your password, your Vault master password or an API key.
If something goes wrong in the app
A widget shows "hit a problem"
If one widget stops working, it shows that it hit a problem, for example This table hit a problem, and says that the rest of your desk is fine and nothing was lost. Click Retry.
The window shows "Something broke in the UI"
PlexiDesk has caught an error before it could affect your work. It says Your data is safe. Choose:
- Reload to reload the window. Try this first.
- Reset UI to start the screen afresh without reloading.
- Copy details to copy a description of the error. Paste it into your email to us.
Problems are reported automatically
When PlexiDesk hits an error like these, it records technical details of the error, never your content. While you are signed in and Share anonymous usage data is ticked, those details are sent to us so we can fix the cause. See Privacy settings and what leaves your computer.
Tips
- Check for an update first. Many problems are already fixed in a newer version. Click the version number in the footer to check. See Keep PlexiDesk up to date.
- Problems with Plexii? See If Plexii can't answer or act.
- Problems with sync? See Sync your work across devices.
