Recent activity widget

A short list on your dashboard of the items added to Attention and the items closed over the last seven days, newest first.

All plansUpdated

The Recent activity widget shows what has moved in the last week: items that came in, and items that were closed. Use it to remember what landed on your plate and what you have already dealt with, without opening the Attention page.

Where you find it

  • Every dashboard includes Recent activity, at its Small size, when you start out: Home, Office Home, People Home and Brain Home. See The Home dashboard.
  • It comes in three sizes: Small (where it starts), Medium, a wider tile, and Stack, a tall tile.

Before you start

  • The widget is on every plan.
  • It reads the items Attention keeps track of: the tasks on your desks, such as those in a Tasks widget, and anything captured into Attention. To capture items into Attention, turn the Attention layer on first. See Turn Attention on or off Coming soon.

What it shows

The widget lists the five latest events from the last seven days, newest first. Each row has:

  • An icon. A plus in a circle for an item that was added, and a tick for an item that was closed.
  • The item's title.
  • A word on the right. new for an item that was added, or the word for how it was closed, such as completed, reviewed or answered.

An item that was both added and closed this week can appear twice: once as new and once as closed. Items you archived, or let go without doing, are not listed as closed.

When nothing has happened in the last seven days, the widget says Quiet week so far.

Click any row to open the Attention page, where you can see and work with every item. See Attention: everything that needs you Coming soon.

Good ways to use it

  • A Friday look back. See what you closed this week before you plan the next one.
  • Spot what just came in. Rows marked new show what was added to your plate recently, including items Plexii filed for you.
  • Pair it with Pulse. The Pulse widget counts everything closed in the last seven days under Closed · 7d, and Recent activity names the latest of them.

Common questions

Why does it only show five rows? The widget keeps to the five latest events at every size. The Attention page has a longer Recent activity list and a Recently closed section.

Why are the desks and documents I worked on not listed? Recent activity lists Attention items only. To get back to recent documents, use the Continue widget. To return to the desk you last worked on, use the Where was I widget.

Why does it say Quiet week so far when I have been busy? It counts items added to or closed in Attention, including tasks on your desks. Work that never became an item, such as editing a document, does not appear here.

Does it use AI? No. It lists your items as they are.
