Allow, limit or revoke Plexii on websites

Plexii asks the first time it wants to click or type on a site. Allow it always, just this once, or not at all, and revoke sites in AI settings.

All plansUpdated

When Plexii works on a web page for you, reading the page never needs your permission. Acting on it does. The first time Plexii wants to click, type, choose an option or press a key on a site, it stops and asks you. You decide whether it may act there always, just this once, or not at all, and you can take back a permanent yes at any time.

Before you start

  • Every plan includes per-site permission.
  • Plexii browsing for you is included in the Pro and Team plans. See Let Plexii work on a web page.
  • Permissions belong to this computer. If you use PlexiDesk on more than one computer, Plexii asks again on each.

When Plexii asks

Plexii can open pages, scroll and read without asking. Before its first click, typing, choice from a list or key press on a site, the run pauses and the panel shows Let Plexii act on and the site's name, followed by First time on this site. Everything it does stays visible here, and you can revoke this any time in Settings.

Choose one:

Button What it does
Always allow Plexii carries on, and will not ask again on this site. The site is added to Plexii on the web in Settings.
Just this once Plexii goes ahead with this step. It asks again before its next click or typing on the site, so expect to answer once per step.
No The run ends without acting. It shows Not run — you said no.

A site means its address without the "www.": allowing example.com also covers www.example.com (opens in a new tab), and every page on it.

Pages with no web address

Some pages have no ordinary web address, such as a blank page or a file opened from your computer. Plexii cannot remember a choice for those, so it asks every time. The message says This page has no web address, so Plexii will ask each time rather than remember your answer. and the buttons are Allow and No.

See and revoke the sites you allowed

  1. Click the gear at the right-hand end of the header to open Settings, then click the AI tab.
  2. Scroll to Plexii on the web.
  3. Each site you chose Always allow for is listed in alphabetical order, with the date you allowed it.
  4. Click Revoke beside a site to take the permission back.

Plexii asks again the next time it wants to act on that site. If no sites are allowed, the section says No sites yet — Plexii asks the first time it acts somewhere.

What is never allowed

Whatever you answer, some things are always left to you. Plexii never types passwords or card details, never submits sign-in or payment forms, never moves files, and never solves a "prove you're human" check. Allowing a site does not change that.

Tips

  • Use Just this once to approve a single step. It is the closest control: you see and approve each action on the site.
  • Always allow sites for longer tasks. A run that clicks through many pages then goes straight through without pausing at every step.
  • Review the list now and then. Revoke anything you no longer use.

Common questions

Plexii asks every time on the same page. The page has no web address, so there is nothing to remember a choice against. Choose Allow each time.

Does Always allow let Plexii act on its own? Only when you start a run. Plexii acts on a site only while working on a task you gave it, with every step visible and Stop always available.

I said No by mistake. Start the run again and choose Always allow or Just this once.

Does allowing a site let Plexii sign in for me? No. Signing in, paying and moving files are always yours. Sign in yourself in the same browser, then let Plexii carry on.
