AI in PlexiiOffice
Where AI lives in each PlexiiOffice app: draft and rewrite documents, write formulas and fill sheets, build slides and diagrams, and ask about your work.
Each PlexiiOffice app has AI built into its editor, aimed at the job that app does. In a document it drafts and rewrites text. In a spreadsheet it writes formulas and fills in rows. In a deck it builds slides, and in a diagram it lays out a flowchart from a description.
Whatever the app, AI shows you what it will do before it changes your file. Nothing is written until you click Insert, Apply or the app's equivalent.
Before you start
- Plans. The AI in PlexiiOffice is on every plan.
- AI needs to be set up: PlexiDesk credits while you are signed in, or your own Anthropic key. See AI credits and where your AI runs and AI settings.
- A few extras use other keys. Generating pictures in PlexiDesign uses an OpenAI key. See Add your own API keys.

Start a whole file with AI
The Documents page writes a first draft of a document, spreadsheet, deck or flowchart from a description. Choose what you are making, describe it, and click Create with AI. See The Documents page.
Ask Plexii about your work
- On Office Home, the AI Assistant bar at the bottom has Ask AI, which opens Plexii, the assistant, for questions about your documents, data or presentations.
- In PlexiDocs, the Assistant button above the page opens Plexii.
- The assistant panels in PlexiSheets, PlexiSlides and PlexiDesign include Ask your workspace, which answers from everything in your workspace and shows the files it used.

Good habits
- Be specific. "A risks section with a table of five risks, their likelihood and an owner" gets a better result than "add risks".
- Read the preview. If it is not right, use Regenerate or Re-suggest, or change your description and try again.
- Check the figures. In a spreadsheet, AI writes real formulas that the sheet calculates, so the numbers come from your data. Still check that a formula refers to the cells you meant.
- Undo is there. Anything AI adds can be undone like any other change.
Common questions
The AI says no key is set. AI is not set up yet. Sign in to use PlexiDesk credits, or add your own Anthropic key. See AI settings.
Does AI change my file without asking? No. The editors show a preview first, and only change the file when you click to insert or apply.
Can I see what changed after AI edited a file? Changes Plexii makes to a file for you are saved in version history labelled AI edit. See Version history.
