Meeting Record widget: a meeting's record on its desk
The Meeting Record widget shows a recorded meeting's record on its desk, with each heard line linked to its moment, and opens the meeting in PlexiiMeet.
The Meeting Record widget puts a meeting's record on a desk: the brief PlexiDesk wrote when the meeting ended, organised by section. Each line that was heard in the meeting carries its time, and clicking it opens the meeting in PlexiiMeet at that moment.
It sits on the meeting's desk beside the transcript, so anyone working on the desk can see what was decided without leaving it. The widget reads the record from PlexiiMeet rather than keeping a copy, so it shows the same record you see there.
More about this widget Coming soon
Before you start
- Record a meeting. The widget is added by the wrap-up at the end of a recording. See Meeting wrap-up and records.
- Plans. The Meeting Record widget is part of every plan.
- It starts from a meeting. The Meeting Record widget is not in the Add widget menu, because it always belongs to one meeting.
How it gets on a desk
When a recorded meeting, call, Record notes or Record external wraps up, PlexiDesk puts a Meeting Record widget at the top left of the meeting's desk, with the transcript document to its right.
The meeting's desk is the desk you attached when you started Record notes. Otherwise the wrap-up makes a new desk named after the meeting and the date. See Record notes or a meeting held elsewhere.
To get to the desk from PlexiiMeet, open the meeting and click Desk at the top of its record.
Read the record
- The top shows the meeting's title.
- The sections, such as WHAT HAPPENED, DECISIONS and OPEN QUESTIONS, follow the template the record was written with. See Meeting wrap-up and records.
- A heard line has a rule down its left side and starts with its time in the meeting, for example [4:12]. It is based on something said at that moment.
- A fainter line with no time is Plexii's own reading of the meeting, with no line in the transcript behind it. Rest the pointer on it to see that it was inferred.
Go to the moment
Click a heard line. PlexiiMeet opens with the meeting selected and the transcript scrolled to that line, so you can read what was actually said around it. Its tooltip reads Heard at and the time.
Open the meeting in PlexiiMeet
Click Open → at the top right of the widget. Its tooltip reads Open this meeting in PlexiMeet. The meeting opens with its full record: the summary, your notes, the transcript, the action items and the analytics.
When the widget shows a note instead of the record
| The widget says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Loading… | The widget is reading the record. |
| No Record yet — it is written at wrap-up, from your notes and the attributed transcript. | The meeting has no written record, for example because it had no recorded transcript or the record could not be written at the wrap-up. Open the meeting and use Brief as in Overview to write one from its transcript. |
| This meeting is gone — the Record went with it. | The meeting was deleted from PlexiiMeet. The widget has nothing left to show, and you can remove it from the desk. |
The widget reads the record each time the desk opens. If you rebuild the record in PlexiiMeet, open the desk again to see the new version.
When you share a live view of the desk
When you share a live web view of the desk, the Meeting Record widget appears to viewers as a placeholder, so the record is not shown. See Publish a live view of a desk.
Good ways to use it
- Decisions beside the work. Keep the record on the project desk the meeting was about, so the decisions sit next to the documents they affect.
- Check before you act. Click a heard line to read the exact words before you rely on a decision.
- Record notes straight onto a desk. Attach your desk when you start Record notes, and the record lands there instead of on a new desk.
Common questions
I cannot find Meeting Record in the Add widget menu. The widget always comes from a meeting. Record the meeting, and the wrap-up puts it on the meeting's desk.
If I remove the widget, is the meeting deleted? No. The meeting stays in PlexiiMeet with its record and transcript.
If I delete the meeting, what happens to the widget? It stays on the desk and says the meeting is gone. The transcript document on the desk stays too.
Can I edit the record in the widget? No. Edit the summary, or rebuild the record, in PlexiiMeet. See Meeting wrap-up and records.
